Veteran’s Educational Benefits
Hallmark College is approved by the Texas Veterans Workforce Commission for processing of Veterans’ Administration Educational Benefits through Chapter 30 (Montgomery GI Bill) and Chapter 33 (Post 9/11 GI Bill). Eligible Veterans can apply online for educational benefits at: www.gibill.va.gov.
The Post-9/11 GI-Bill
The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill will pay your tuition based upon the highest in-state tuition charged by a public educational institution in the state where the school is located. The amount of support that an individual may qualify for depends on where they live and what type of degree they are pursuing.
Montgomery GI Bill
For prior active duty veterans who served at least 181 active duty days, contributed to an educational fund, and were honorably discharged. (Based on active duty service beginning on or after 07/01/1985 or entered on active duty before 01/01/1977 and served on active duty for any number of days during the period 10/19/1984 to 06/30/1985 and continued on active duty through 06/30/1988.)
