The Hallmark College School of Information Technology is comprised of a select group of programs specifically engineered to develop skilled graduates that are aligned to the growing needs of the technology industry. Our Information Technology programs provide a rigorous and interactive curriculum that supports different learning styles through an e-learning platform that delivers traditional and web-based content, online assessments, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, and industry aligned certification preparation. The curriculum is designed for a diverse group of students with different learning styles and career goals.

• Bachelors of Science in Information Systems
  

  The Information Systems Program provides a rigorous and interactive curriculum that supports different learning styles through an e-learning platform that delivers traditional and Web-based content, online assessments, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, and industry aligned certification preparation. The curriculum is designed for a diverse group of students with different learning styles and career goals.

Hallmark College has built partnerships with organizations that are defining the technical and economic landscapes to generate opportunities so students can become the highly trained, technically savvy workforce that can foster personal success and long-term economic growth. Hallmark has evolved its core curriculum to keep pace with the swiftly changing needs of markets and technologies. The expanded program gives both entry-level and more advanced students the expertise they need to succeed in a wide range of careers.

  The Information Systems Program is a competency-based program designed to provide for the development of knowledge and skills required to design, administer, and support Information Technology for an organization.

  The curriculum is comprised of four unique Information Systems tracks rooted on a general education foundation and business management courses. Each of the core tracks is designed to leverage academic relationships from industry recognized vendors including: CompTIA, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, VMware.

  The aggregate result provides an in-depth exploration of Information Systems administration and support, general education and business management. Instruction consists of lecture reinforced by laboratory projects that are designed to deliver real world simulation to the core competencies required for employment in the Information Technology Industry.

  The Information Systems Program is designed to prepare students for a career in the Information Technology Industry as: Entry Level IT Managers, Enterprise Support Technicians, Network Technicians, Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, Network Security Specialist.

  Students successfully completing the program would obtain a strong background in management information systems and have opportunities to obtain industry certification in the following core sub-disciplines: computer hardware and software, network administration, systems administration, database administration, email administration, information security, and virtualization technologies.

   

  

  

• Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology – MICROSOFT
  

  The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Technology – Microsoft is a competency-based program designed to provide for the development of knowledge and skills required to design, administer, and support Information Technology for an organization. The use of the Microsoft IT Academy curriculum provides students with an in-depth education in the latest Microsoft Operating System technologies; it is designed to help the students learn the Information Technology skills they need to succeed in the ever changing world of Information Systems.  Networking, virtualization, and information security technologies with a concentration in Microsoft will help the student obtain a well-rounded education in Information Technology.

  The aggregate result provides an in-depth exploration of Information Systems administration. Instruction consists of lecture reinforced by laboratory projects that are designed to deliver real world simulation to the core competencies required for employment in the Information Technology Industry. With hands on experience in either physical labs or lab simulations the students will gain many hours of on the job training.

  The Information Technology Program is designed to prepare students for a career in the Information Technology industry as Enterprise Desktop Support Technicians, Network Technicians, Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, and Network Security Specialist. Students successfully completing the program would obtain a strong background and industry certification opportunities in the following core sub-disciplines: computer hardware and software (A+), network administration (Net+), systems administration, database administration, email administration, information security (Security +), and virtualization technologies.

  The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Technology – Cisco is a competency-based program designed to provide for development of knowledge and skills required to design, administer, and support Information Technology for an organization. The curriculum has been designed by a certified Cisco Academy to allow the student to achieve success and to meet industry standards.

  Each of the core competencies is designed by leveraging academic relationships from industry recognized vendors including; CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware and Cisco Systems. The Cisco Network Academy delivers a comprehensive, 21st century learning experience to help students develop the foundational skills needed to design, build, and manage networks, along with career skills such as problem solving, collaboration, and critical thinking.
